Cutting the first sod for South Wilts Sports Club

I was honoured to cut the first sod on the site of the new Pavilion at South Wilts Sports Club on Saturday. I, for one, can't wait to see the smart new clubhouse, serving the existing sporting community and, hopefully, attracting plenty of new people to get involved in local sport.

I am well aware how much blood, sweat and tears have gone into getting to this point and it is fitting that it has been a team effort, from first to last.

With the inclusion of conference facilities, I hope and expect that Salisbury and South Wilts Sports Club is about to enter a bright new era as a magnet for the entire sporting community.
