Opening New Sports Hall

I always value any opportunity available to offer my support to local schools. Recently, I was invited to open a new sports hall at Trafalgar School in Downton.

Since my last visit to the Trafalgar School, the progress that has been made is astonishing and this really is an extraordinary sports facility that will be of great benefit to a thriving school community. Sport is an activity that is essential to the curriculum, but at the same time provides a vast number of opportunities as an extracurricular activity; I am sure this facility will allow a large number of students to excel in their sports and provide a great deal of enjoyment.

This visit was one in a succession recently; I am pleased that schools in Wiltshire are gaining levels of funding that mean we can continue to provide the best facilities to our children across the county.
