Visiting Bourne Valley Day Centre

I was back in the constituency this Friday, and keen to get out and about again after last Friday's disappointment in the Commons for the Daylight Saving Bill. This week, I travelled to Winterbourne Dauntsey where the Day Centre meets every Friday.

They provide a weekly day out for older residents of the Bourne Valley and those who have recently moved into homes in Salisbury. There was an extremely welcoming and friendly atmosphere at the Day Centre, and all the members clearly enjoyed being there greatly. It has also been running for over 30 years now, and has become an integral part of the social community in the Winterbournes.

It was also great to see the finished quilt that all the members had contributed to (which I am pictured with!). In my mind, it says a great deal about this small community that everyone is willing to get involved and pursue these fantastic projects.
