APPGs are All Party Parliamentary Groups in Westminster. Members of both Houses from across all political parties meet together to discuss issues of importance to them. They also offer organisations and campaign groups active in particular fields a chance to become involved in political discussion about issues that matter to the public. I am a member of a number of APPGs, both relating to issues that I have an active political interest in and those that are important to my constituents.

APPGs are interest groups with no official powers or funding from Parliament. Some exist to foster links with other countries and parliaments, others to address a particular issue; some have existed for many years and others are recently established in response to contemporary issues.
